Create easy paint-dipped baubles for Christmas
At Tint, we’re all about fun, simple and rewarding experiences when it comes to colour — and Christmas is no exception!
While it might not feel like the best time to start a full blown pad paint, that doesn't mean you can't get creative with colour over the holiday season. Paint dipped decorations are a great way to jazz up old, or just plain boring baubles and add a splash of Christmas colour. How, you ask? It’s oh so easy, we promise. We’ve put together a step by step guide so you can get back to getting creative this Christmas. All you need is a few of your fave glass decorations, 1L cans of your favourite tints, and a drop sheet to protect your space from splashes.
STEP 1: Choose your decorations & your fave paint colour
When it comes to shape and size, it's totally up to you. We’d recommend glass decorations as they don’t need a plastic primer, making it oh so much easier. That said, you’re totally welcome to use a glass primer if you want your colour crush to shine bold and bright for years to come.
Also choose a Tint that gives you all those festive vibes.

STEP 2: Don’t skip the prep!
Before you start your tinting adventures, lay down drop sheets. Covering your space from the beginning is so much easier than removing drips or spills later (we learned the hard way).
STEP 3: Now, just add paint!
Dip your decoration straight into the can. Yep, it really is that simple.
If you’re feeling adventurous, experiment with alternating between dipping whole and half way.
For some extra colour, we totally recommend double dipping! Just make sure to let the first coat dry before you go back for seconds.

STEP 4: Leave to dry!
Gently hang them up and leave to dry while you sit back and unwind. Hang them on the tree or simply enjoy them as a beautiful pop of festive colour in a bowl on the table or however you like!
