Little Projects to Shake Up Your Space with Tint
Small creative projects are one of the most satisfying ways to breathe new life into your home. Whether you’re refreshing a tired corner, updating a statement piece of furniture, or adding personality with a bold pop of colour, our 1 litre paint cans are perfectly sized for these mini makeovers. You get just the right amount to experiment confidently without waste.
We especially recommend our Trim paint for these DIY paint projects. Its extra hard-wearing formula stands up to high-touch surfaces like furniture, frames, pots, and doors — delivering chip-resistant, long-lasting colour. For the smoothest application and best durability, always start with a coat of Prep Plus primer.
NOTE: Our Low VOC Trim paint does take 7 days to fully cure, so be gentle with it for the first week. Â
Here are our top 3 small-scale paint projects using a 1L tin of our low VOC Trim paint:
1. Mirrors and Frames
Mirrors and picture frames are an easy win for adding a splash of colour and personality to any room. Pick a colour that pulls something out from the artwork/picture or create a nice contrast to what's inside!Â
Pro Tip: Always ensure surfaces are completely clean before painting to avoid dust affecting the finish. Our brushes are also great at delivering the smooth look, it's all in the tools you use.Â
If you have some left over paint a matching furniture peace in the room to tie it all together. And don't forget our Trim paint is great for outside too, so you can use it there as well.

2. Side Tables, Sideboards & Stools
Give your side tables or sideboards a fresh new look with a quick DIY furniture upcycle.
Tint Tip: Remove knobs or handles before starting. Lightly sand the surface to create the perfect base, a single coat of Prep Plus for a long lasting finish and two coats of Trim for furniture that will look pretty for years to come!

3. Doors
Inside or outside, doors are one of the best opportunities for a bold colour update. A fresh coat can elevate transitions between spaces and make moving through your home feel more intentional and inviting.Â
Tip: I like to take the door off the frame, remove the hinges, and paint each side on a trestle. YOU can always leave it on the hinges to keep it simple though. Always make sure to give the paint as much time as you can to cure before using it as normal.

Final Thoughts
If you have been wanting to make your space yours, but putting off a whole room refresh, then take a look around and spot what could  be transformed with a splash of colour.
These projects but be small but they have a big impact on a space, and are a great way to express your personal style and shake up your room. Of course using high-quality, low VOC paint is just the bonus :)
Happy tinting!
