Interview: Plant Mama
Jenna Holmes is Plant Mama — the plant and pasta-loving lady we absolutely adore for her ultra-bright vibe and tendency to go ALL CAPS FOR EXCITEMENT on the reg. Read on to fall head over brush for this creative wonder woman and her colourful experience jumping aboard The Tint Train.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your painting experience... Would you say you’re a paint newbie or a Michaelangelo in the making?
I am the owner and creative director of Plant Mama - a plant design studio. I am a Michaelangelo in the making for sure!

Kidding...but not! I ADORE painting and have all coloured rooms in my house. It's an instant way to add spice, sass and flavour. Paint is a huge part of my job, from pots to room sets. My brain works best with colour so any chance to work with bright and bold - I AM HERE FOR IT.
Talk us through the project you undertook with us and how you reckon it went.
Many walls! Tint blued up my Plant Studio, and then my bedroom Yellow and living room Pistachio. It went sooooooo well, all spaces looked instantly better. I was incredibly stoked with the quality of paint and the colour selection and there wasn’t too much left over paint.
What was the paint process like for you? Take us through the motions of how you got the job done.
I was very impressed with the initial colour stickers, I found that they gave me a really good indication of my options without ruining the wall with sample paint. Once we ordered the colours and tool box everything arrived super fast. Easily the best part of the whole process was HOW easy everything was and I adored that the pack came with everything I needed, making the experience way less stressful.
Any advice for novice painters who love what you’ve done and want to try their hand at it?
You will never regret painting a room with a colour! People can be afraid of colour, but if you spend the time selecting the right one, you won’t look back. It’s the cheapest and fastest way to change a room… FOR THE BETTER!
Favourite thing about your Tint experience?
It has made this ISO/Lockdown situation feel not so bad as I am living in a “new” space. The whole process from start to finish has been seamless.

I'll also add that Tint's company values are great, staff are super friendly and I LOVE the no sample pots, GAME CHANGER!
